Our last stop in Almuñécar was a relaxing blend of beach, sun, and fun water activities. By ending on the Mediterranean we got to bookend the trip with aquatic adventures: in chilly Asturias we went stand up paddling, and in sunny Andalucía we went parasailing and tubing. Melanie described the last day of the trip as her very happiest, and she wasn’t alone. We spent the last two days reminiscing on the trip and really making the last two days count.
Everyone enjoyed taking in the Spanish sun and splashing about in the Mediterranean. It was an exciting end to a long and wonderful trip.
For our last group dinner, we went to a beautiful Spanish restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean and feasted together for the last time. As sad as it is, all good things must come to an end.

The lovely ladies of the group! All such wonderful, kind, independent, and strong women. Daniel and I are so proud of their kindness, maturity, and growth.

But the students reminded us today, we won’t say “adios” because that is a more permanent goodbye. Instead, we’ll say “hasta pronto” or “hasta la proxima!” Hope to see you all soon — keep in touch!
